Kiss-You-Later Dip

This Kiss-You-Later Dip is loaded (and we do mean loaded!) with garlic and onion for a fragrant and savory flavor that is more than likely to hang around! Creamy, cheesy, and very dippable, Kiss-You-Later Dip is all about showing your taste buds some love, even if your partner has to wait a moment!

Ingredients

  • 4 cups sweet onions, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup butter, cubed
  • 1/4 cup white wine or chicken broth
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 2 cups Gruyère or Swiss cheese, shredded
  • 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • assorted crackers, to taste, for dipping
  • fresh assorted vegetables, to taste, of your choice, for serving

Directions

Step 1 -In a 3-quart slow cooker, add the onions, the butter, the wine, the garlic, and the bay leaf and stir to combine.

Step 2 -Cover and cook on high until the onions are tender and golden-brown, about 4-5 hours.

Step 3 -Remove and discard the bay leaf, then reduce the heat to low.

Step 4 -Stir in the Gruyère cheese, the cream cheese, and the sour cream.

Step 5 -Cover and cook on low until the cheese is melted, about 1 hour.

Step 6 -Serve the dip with the crackers and the vegetables
