Lipton Meatloaf

Here we are yet again with another yummy classic! Lipton Meatloaf takes you right back to the good ole days when you were running around outside until mom called you in for dinner. Nothing could ever beat being greeted with the smell of this warm, savory loaf as you walked in to find a plate loaded-up with a slice of this meaty goodness. Ah, those were the best of times and a taste of Lipton Meatloaf will transport you back there in an instant. Let’s journey to something delicious!

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/3 cup ketchup, plus more, optional, to taste, for the glaze
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1 (2-ounce) packet dry onion soup mix
  • 3/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 pounds lean ground beef
  • fresh herbs, such as parsley, to taste, chopped, for garnish

Directions

Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2 –Line a 9×13-inch baking pan with foil.

Step 3 –In a large bowl, add the eggs, 1/3 cup of the ketchup, the water, and the soup mix and stir to combine.

Step 4 –Add the breadcrumbs and the ground beef to the egg mixture and mix well.

Step 5 –Form the beef mixture into a loaf and place in the prepared pan.

Step 6 –Bake the meatloaf until it reaches an internal temperature of 160 degrees F, about 1 hour 15 minutes.

Step 7 –When there is about 20 minutes of cooking time remaining, carefully spread the extra ketchup over top of the loaf, and then return it to the oven to finish baking.

Step 8 –Let the meatloaf stand for 10 minutes.

Step 9 –Slice and serve the meatloaf garnished with the fresh herbs.
