Maple Breakfast Casserole

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so they say. So why not make it the most delicious of them all, too? Maple Breakfast Casserole takes care of both! You’ll be feeling full and ready for anything, thanks to the protein trio of fluffy eggs, salty ham, and crispy bacon. The pep will be in your step because of the sweet pancake yumminess it’s all mixed in and the crunchy hash brown patties it sits atop. Ingredients

  • 4 hash brown patties, frozen
  • 1 cup complete pancake mix
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup, plus more for serving
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup cream, 10%
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 6 slices honey ham deli meat, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/4 cup real bacon bits

Directions

Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F.

Step 2 –Grease an 8-inch square pan.

Step 3 –Place the hash brown patties at the bottom of the prepared baking pan. You may need to break up one of them to ensure they all fit.

Step 4 –In a small bowl, combine the pancake mix, the water, and the syrup and whisk until no lumps remain.

Step 5 –Pour the pancake batter over the hash browns.

Step 6 –In another small bowl, beat the eggs and the cream together with a fork.

Step 7 –Stir the salt and the pepper into the beaten egg.

Step 8 –Pour the egg mixture over the pancake mixture.

Step 9 –Sprinkle the ham and the bacon on top of the egg mixture.

Step 10 –Bake until cooked through and the top starts to brown, about 40-45 minutes.

Step 11 –Slice and serve with the syrup.
