Mississippi Slugburger

The Mississippi Slugburger is a Southern favorite dating all the way back to World War I. Don’t worry, slugs don’t come anywhere near it; the name comes from the slang term for a fake nickel people would use at vending machines. In fact, the Mississippi Slugburger is essentially a fried hamburger patty, with a lovely golden brown and crunchy jacket enveloping a juicy, beefy center. Topped with tangy mustard and pickles and sprinkled with chili powder for heat, this burger will dazzle you with its culinary personality.
