Molten Fall Cake

Ingredients

  • 2 (21-ounce) cans apple pie filling
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce, store-bought or homemade
  • 1 (15.25-ounce) package spice cake mix
  • 1 cup salted butter, melted
  • 1 cup walnuts, coarsely chopped
  • vanilla ice cream, to taste, for serving

Directions

Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2 –Lightly coat a 9×13-inch baking pan with cooking spray.

Step 3 –Spread the apple pie filling in an even layer on the bottom of the prepared baking pan, then drizzle with the caramel sauce.

Step 4 –Evenly sprinkle the caramel sauce with the cake mix.

Step 5 –Evenly drizzle the melted butter over the cake mix and sprinkle with the chopped walnuts.

Step 6 –Bake the cake until it is golden-brown and the filling is bubbling through to the top, about 50-55 minutes.

Step 7 –Let the cake cool, about 15 minutes.

Step 8 –Serve the cake with the ice cream.
