Ingredients
- 16 large sea scallops
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/4 teaspoon coarse ground black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 4 tablespoons parmesan cheese, grated
- 2 tablespoons parsley, chopped
- 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
Directions
Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
Step 2 –Dry the scallops well with paper towels. Remove any attached side-muscle remaining on them by pinching and tearing it away.
Step 3 –In a small bowl, add the salt, the pepper, the paprika, the cayenne, the breadcrumbs, the parmesan, the parsley, the olive oil, and the butter and stir to combine.
Step 4 –Place the scallops into an 8×10-inch baking dish and sprinkle with the breadcrumb mixture.
Step 5 –Bake the scallops until the breadcrumb mixture is browned, about 15-18 minutes.
