Oven Spaghetti

Simple is always better. But simple doesn’t always mean low quality! This Oven Spaghetti shows you what we mean. Once you’ve cooked the bouncy pasta and whipped up the simple, tangy sauce, everything that you’re used to when it comes to spaghetti is dumped into one dish and baked to gooey, bubbly deliciousness. A high-quality dish that’s requires way less effort. That’s Oven Spaghetti and we love it! You will, too!

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces spaghetti
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • salt, to taste
  • pepper, to taste
  • 1 (24-ounce) jar spaghetti sauce
  • 1 (14.5-ounce) can diced tomatoes
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese
  • 1/3 cup parmesan cheese
  • parsley, to taste, chopped, for garnish

Directions

Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2 –Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

Step 3 –In a large pot of salted, boiling water, cook the spaghetti to al dente, according to the package directions.

Step 4 –Reserve 1/2 cup of the pasta water and drain the rest.

Step 5 –In a deep skillet or saucepan, add the ground beef and cook, while crumbling, until it is no longer pink.

Step 6 –Add the garlic, the Italian seasoning, the salt, and the pepper to the beef and cook until the garlic is aromatic.

Step 7 –Add the spaghetti sauce, the diced tomatoes, and the reserved pasta water to the beef mixture and stir to combine.

Step 8 –Simmer the beef mixture for 5 minutes.

Step 9 –Stir the cooked spaghetti into the sauce mixture.

Step 10 –Spread the spaghetti mixture into the prepared baking dish then sprinkle with the mozzarella cheese and the parmesan cheese.

Step 11 –Bake the spaghetti mixture for 30 minutes.

Step 12 –Serve the spaghetti garnished with the parsley.
