This breakfast is princess-level indulgent and enchantingly rich! It’s hard to imagine a better start to your day than with this fairytale dish. This Snow White French Toast Bake certainly will not leave you Grumpy!

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces French bread, a day old
  • 2 Granny Smith apples, peeled
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup, for topping, or to taste
  • powdered sugar, for topping, to taste
  • whipped cream, for topping, to taste

Directions

Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2 –Grease a 9×13-inch greased baking tray

Step 3 –Slice the bread into 1-inch cubes, then dice and peel the apples into bite-sized pieces.

Step 4 –In a medium-sized bowl, combine the apples, bread, cornstarch, and sugar.

Step 5 –Using a separate bowl, whisk the milk, vanilla, eggs, and cinnamon together. Then, pour the egg mixture into the bread bowl.

Step 6 –Stir up the ingredients well, then pour into the prepared tray.

Step 7 –Bake until golden brown, for 45 minutes.

Step 8 –Serve topped with the maple syrup, powdered sugar, and whipped cream!
