Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg white
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 pound raw nuts, of your choice

Directions

Step 1 –Heat oven to 250 degrees F.

Step 2 –Line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper. Make sure the paper is large enough to slightly hang off the edges of the pan.

Step 3 –In a small bowl, combine the sugar, cinnamon and salt.

Step 4 –In a mixing bowl, combine the egg white, vanilla, and water, whisking until the mixture is foamy, about 1 minute.

Step 5 –Add the nuts to the egg white mixture and stir until the nuts are well coated.

Step 6 –When the nuts are well coated in the egg white mixture, add the sugar mixture to the bowl and stir until the nuts are well coated.

Step 7 –Pour the nuts onto the lined baking sheet, spreading them out in a single layer.

Step 8 –Put the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for a total of 60 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes and flattening the nuts into a single layer again. Remove from the oven and let cool. Serve!
