Ingredients

For the rolls:

  • 3 (12.4-ounce) containers refrigerated cinnamon roll dough
  • 8 1/2 ounces caramel dessert sauce
  • 4 Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
  • cinnamon, to taste
  • brown sugar, to taste

For the caramel frosting:

  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 3 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup caramel dessert sauce
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar, plus more to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

Directions

Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.

Step 2 –Grease 2 cookie sheets.

Step 3 –Open up the cinnamon roll dough and unroll it into two large rectangles.

Step 4 –Spread the 8 1/2 ounces of caramel dessert sauce over the dough.

Step 5 –Layer the apple slices on top of the caramel.

Step 6 –Sprinkle the cinnamon and brown sugar on top of the apples.

Step 7 –Roll the dough into a long tube, being careful not to let the apples or caramel sauce spill out.

Step 8 –Cut the dough into 1-1/2-inch slices and place the slices on the greased sheets.

Step 9 –Bake for 10-15 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.

Step 10 –Mix the cream cheese, butter, 1/2 cup of caramel sauce, powdered sugar, and cinnamon to make the caramel frosting.
