Butter Toffee Pretzels

Guess what?! You’ve found it! These Butter Toffee Pretzels are THE party treat that everyone will be requesting from now on! What makes them so great? Well, they’re sweet and salty, crispy and crunchy, and just the perfect size for snackin’ and chi-chattin’! You see? Butter Toffee Pretzels are truly the best, and your celebration will be bumpin’ because of ’em!

Ingredients

  • 10 cups mini pretzels
  • 1 cup light brown sugar, lightly packed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cubed
  • 1/4 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 (8-ounce) package toffee bits, divided

Directions

Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 200 degrees F.

Step 2 –Lightly coat a large roasting pan with cooking spray.

Step 3 –Add the pretzels to the prepared roasting pan.

Step 4 –In a medium saucepan over medium heat, add the brown sugar, the cubed butter, and the corn syrup and bring to a boil.

Step 5 –Boil the brown sugar mixture, stirring constantly, for 5 minutes.

Step 6 –Transfer the brown sugar mixture from the heat and whisk in the vanilla extract and the baking soda, carefully. The mixture will be violently bubbling and that is okay.

Step 7 –Evenly pour the brown sugar mixture over the pretzels.

Step 8 –Sprinkle the coated pretzels with 1/2 of the toffee bits and toss to evenly coat.

Step 9 –Bake the coated pretzels, stirring every 15 minutes, for 1 hour.

Step 10 –Spread the baked pretzels onto a wax-paper-lined countertop and immediately sprinkle them with the remaining toffee bits.

Step 11 –Let the toffee pretzels set until they have hardened, about 1 hour.

Step 12 –Break the cooled toffee pretzels into small clusters.

Step 13 –Serve.
