Cheeseburger Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound bacon, diced
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 onion, diced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 4 tablespoons cream cheese
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce, or to taste
  • 1 teaspoon ground pepper
  • 8 ounces cheddar, shredded
  • 1 teaspoon fresh dill

Directions

Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2 –Grease an 8×8-inch baking dish.

Step 3 –Place the bacon in a skillet over medium heat.

Step 4 –Cook, stirring often, until crisp, about 5-7 minutes.

Step 5 –Transfer the bacon to a paper-towel-lined plate to drain. Drain the grease from the pan.

Step 6 –Add the ground beef, onion, and garlic to the skillet and cook, crumbling the beef as it cooks, until browned, about 6-8 minutes. Drain the fat from the pan.

Step 7 –Add the cream cheese, ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and seasoned salt to the skillet and cook over low heat, stirring constantly until combined.

Step 8 –Spread the beef mixture into the prepared baking dish.

Step 9 –Top the beef mixture with the cooked bacon.

Step 10 –Crack the eggs into a medium bowl.

Step 11 –Whisk the eggs with the heavy cream, hot sauce, and pepper.

Step 12 –Pour the egg mixture over the beef and the bacon. Top with the cheddar cheese.

Step 13 –Bake the casserole until set and golden on top, about 30-35 minutes. Let cool for 15 minutes.

Step 14 –Sprinkle with the dill and serve.
