Cookies and Dream Cake

Ingredients

For the cake:

  • 1 (15.25-ounce) box white cake mix, plus ingredients required on package directions
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 12 chocolate sandwich cookies, finely crushed

For the frosting:

  • 1 (16-ounce) tub prepared vanilla frosting
  • 1 1/2 cups frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • 16 chocolate sandwich cookies, chopped

Directions

Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2 –Lightly grease a 15×10-inch baking pan.

Step 3 –Prepare the cake mix according to package directions using an electric mixer.

Step 4 –Gently mix the sour cream and 12 of the finely crushed sandwich cookies into the batter.

Step 5 –Pour the batter into the prepared pan.

Step 6 –Bake until a cake tester inserted into the center comes out clean, about 20-25 minutes.

Step 7 –Let the cake cool completely.

Step 8 –Stir the frosting and the whipped topping together in a medium bowl.

Step 9 –Frost the cooled cake and top it with the remaining sandwich cookies.
