Creamy Salad Casserole

Okay, hear us out. Creamy Salad Casserole isn’t as crazy as it sounds! You can put your mind at ease knowing that this is a cold dish, not baked like normal casseroles are. It’s really just a regular, fresh, and crunchy salad, topped with all the good things like crispy bacon bits, tender peas, and salty cheese. You’re sure to love the creamy, tangy dressing that’s tossed in… it’s bound to make you excited about this fresh fix. It’s only placed in a casserole dish to easily feed the masses, so don’t worry. There’s nothing strange about this one! Perfect for cookouts, potlucks, and anything in between, the Creamy Salad Casserole simply makes sure everyone gets in their greens!

Ingredients

For the salad:

  • 1 head iceberg lettuce, chopped
  • 1 (8-ounce) package frozen peas, thawed and drained
  • 1 cup Swiss cheese, cut into cubes
  • 3 green onions, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup bacon bits

For the sauce:

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup Kraft™ Miracle Whip
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • kosher salt, to taste
  • ground black pepper, to taste

Directions

Step 1 –Place the lettuce in the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish.

Step 2 –Top the lettuce with the peas, the Swiss cheese, and the green onions.

Step 3 –In a medium bowl, whisk the mayonnaise, the Miracle Whip, the sugar, the salt, and the pepper together.

Step 4 –Pour the dressing over the salad and toss to evenly coat.

Step 5 –Top the salad with the bacon bits and refrigerate, covered, until ready to serve.

Step 6 –Serve.
