Ingredients

  • 2 pounds lean ground beef
  • 1 cup Italian-style breadcrumbs
  • 2 ounces onion soup mix
  • 1 (10.5-ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 tablespoon onion powder
  • 2 cups water
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 (12-ounce) package stuffing mix

Directions

Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.

Step 2 –Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

Step 3 –Add the ground beef, the breadcrumbs, the onion soup mix, and the cream of mushroom soup into a large mixing bowl and use your clean hands to mix it together well.

Step 4 –Pour the beef mixture into the prepared baking dish, pressing it down evenly.

Step 5 –Into a mixing bowl, add the ketchup, the Worcestershire sauce, the garlic powder, and the onion powder and stir well.

Step 6 –Pour the ketchup mixture on top of the beef mixture, spreading it out evenly.

Step 10 –Cover the pot and set aside.

Step 11 –Once the meatloaf layer has cooked for 30 minutes, transfer it from the oven.

Step 12 –Fluff the stuffing with a fork, then sprinkle it on top of the meatloaf.

Step 13 –Return the dish to the oven and bake until golden brown on top, about 15 minutes.
