Ingredients
- 4 cups penne pasta
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 green pepper, chopped
- 1 (23.5 ounce) jar spaghetti sauce
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups mozzarella cheese, divided
Directions
Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Step 2 –Grease a 9×13-inch oven-safe baking dish.
Step 3 –Boil and cook the pasta according to package directions.
Step 4 –Cook the beef and green peppers together over medium-high heat in a large-sized pan, making sure to only stop cooking when the meat is no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes.
Step 5 –Drain the pan of fat and set the beef mixture aside.
Step 6 –When the pasta is finished cooking, drain the noodles and put them in a large mixing bowl.
Step 7 –Stir in the beef mixture, spaghetti sauce, eggs, and 1 cup of the shredded mozzarella cheese.
Step 8 –Move the mixture to the prepared baking dish.
Step 9 –Top the bake with the remaining cheese. Bake the dish uncovered for about 30 minutes.
Step 10 –Serve the dish warm.
