Epic Turkey Melt

Love a good deli sandwich? Well, skip the line at your favorite spot and make your own Epic Turkey Melt! Sourdough bread is heavenly when tangy honey mustard comes to play with salty turkey slices, juicy tomatoes, and fresh baby spinach. Then, it’s goldenly toasted to melt all that gooey cheddar cheese. YUM. What a beautiful combination! Epic Turkey Melt is just that—epic! It’s so good, you just gotta try it!

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons honey mustard, store-bought or homemade
  • 4 slices sourdough bread
  • 2 slices white cheddar cheese, sliced in half
  • 4 slices deli turkey
  • 1 medium tomato, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup fresh baby spinach
  • 4 slices bacon, cooked
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Directions

Step 1 –Spread 1/4 tablespoon of the honey mustard on one side of each of the bread slices.

Step 2 –Place 1 cheese half on each of the bread slices.

Step 3 –Place 2 of the turkey slices, 2 of the tomato slices, and 1/4 cup of the baby spinach each on 2 of the slices of bread.

Step 4 –Place 2 of the bacon slices on each of the remaining slices of bread.

Step 5 –Close the sandwiches.

Step 6 –Spread 1/2 tablespoon of the butter on the outside of both of the sandwiches.

Step 7 –Heat a large skillet over medium heat.

Step 8 –Add the buttered sandwiches to the heated skillet and toast, flipping once, until the cheese has melted and the sandwich is warmed through, about 3-4 minutes per side.

Step 9 –Slice the sandwiches in half and stack the halves on top of each other. Insert a wooden skewer through the center to secure them together.

Step 10 –Serve.
