Failproof Baked Chicken

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano, chopped, plus more, to taste, for garnish
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
  • lemon wedges, to taste, for garnish

Directions

Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.

Step 2 –In a small bowl, add the salt, 1/2 teaspoon of the oregano, the paprika, the black pepper, the garlic powder, and the olive oil and stir to combine.

Step 3 –Coat the chicken breasts with the spice paste mixture.

Step 4 –Transfer the coated chicken breasts to a medium baking dish and bake until they reach an internal temperature of 165 degrees F, about 20-25 minutes.

Step 5 –Serve the chicken breasts garnished with the extra oregano and the lemon wedges.
