Flag-On-The-Play Dip

The play is up! It looks good! It’s… hang on a second, the refs need to consult about something. Looks like you have a minute or two, plenty of time to enjoy a few bites of Flag-On-The-Play Dip. This extra vibrant salsa has plenty of salty and savory notes to balance out the sweetness of the bright tomatoes. Cubes of melt-in-your-mouth queso fresco only add to the delight in indulging in the dip! It’s a speedy and simple snack that will keep you snacking through the whole game. Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups red and yellow tomatoes, seeded and finely chopped
  • 3/4 cups queso fresco, cubed
  • 3 tablespoons red onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons capers, drained and coarsely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme, minced
  • kosher salt, to taste
  • freshly ground pepper, to taste

Directions

Step 1 –In a medium bowl, gently toss all the ingredients to combine.

Step 2 –Serve the salsa chilled or at room temperature.
