Ingredients
- 1 pound bacon
- 2 pounds ground beef
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1 (55-ounce) can baked beans
- 2 (15-ounce) cans Great Northern beans
- 1 (15-ounce) can pinto beans
- 1 (15-ounce) can pork and beans
Directions
Step 1 –Place the bacon in a large skillet over medium-high heat and cook, turning occasionally, until evenly browned and crispy, 10-12 minutes. Drain the grease from the skillet.
Step 2 –Let the bacon cool and then crumble it into bite-size pieces.
Step 3 –While the bacon is cooking, in another large skillet over medium-high heat, add the ground beef and cook, while crumbling, until it is browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain the grease from the skillet.
Step 4 –Add the crumbled bacon, the cooked ground beef, the onion, the ketchup, and the brown sugar to a slow cooker and mix well.
Step 5 –Add the baked beans, the Great Northern beans, the pinto beans, and the pork and beans to the meat mixture and stir to combine.
Step 6 –Cook the bean mixture on low heat, stirring often, about 4 hours.
Step 7 –Serve.
