Ingredients
- 2 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon celery salt
- 1/2 tablespoon dried onion, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1 (4-ounce) block sharp cheddar cheese, thickly shredded
- 1 (4-ounce) block pepper jack cheese, thickly shredded
- 3/4 cup pepper jelly, homemade or store-bought
- 2 tablespoons fresh chives, thinly sliced, for serving
- round butter crackers, to taste, for serving
Directions
Step 1 –In a large bowl, add the cream cheese and use an electric hand mixer on high speed to beat until smooth.
Step 2 –Add the dry mustard, the garlic powder, the cayenne pepper, the celery salt, the minced onion, and the parsley to the cream cheese and beat until combined.
Step 3 –With the mixer on low speed, slowly add the sharp cheddar cheese and the pepper jack cheese to the cream cheese mixture and mix until it is well-incorporated.
Step 4 –Increase the mixer’s speed to high and whip the dip mixture to completely combine, about 1 minute.
Step 5 –On a 6-inch plate with deep sides, evenly spread the dip mixture on the bottom of the plate.
Step 6 –Cover the plate tightly and refrigerate, for at least 8 hours and up to overnight.
Step 7 –Evenly spread the pepper jelly over the top of the dip mixture and sprinkle with the chives.
Step 8 –Serve the crackers with the dip.
