Ingredients

  • 1 (6-8 pound) ham, fully cooked and bone-in
  • whole cloves, to taste
  • 1 1/4 cups orange soda
  • 1 1/4 cups orange marmalade
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/4 cup Dijon mustard

Directions

Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F.

Step 2 –Transfer the ham on a rack in a shallow roasting pan.

Step 3 –Use a sharp knife to score 1/2-inch-deep diamond shapes over the top and sides of the ham and insert a clove in the center of the diamonds.

Step 4 –Cover the ham with aluminum foil and bake, about 1 hour 30 minutes.

Step 5 –About 20 minutes before the ham is done, in a small saucepan over medium heat, add the orange soda, the orange marmalade, and the brown sugar, bring to a boil, and cook until the liquid is reduced by half, about 15 minutes.

Step 6 –Add the mustard to the marmalade mixture and mix well.

Step 7 –Transfer the glaze from the heat.

Step 8 –Transfer the cooked ham to a wire rack.

Step 11 –Slice the ham and serve.
