Or that by warming it you’d have a brew to shake off even the thickest frosts? Well, no matter who came up with this divine drink, Holiday Buttered Whiskey will butter up your tastebuds for more joy to come!

Ingredients
For the butter batter:
- 3/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
- 1/4 cup agave nectar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon ground allspice
- 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- kosher salt, to taste
For the drink:
- 2 ounces whiskey
- 4 ounces hot water
- 1 cinnamon stick, optional, for garnish
Directions
Step 1 -In a large bowl, add the brown sugar, the butter, the agave nectar, the cinnamon, the allspice, the cloves, the nutmeg, and the salt.
Step 2 -Using a mixture with a paddle attachment, mix the butter mixture together well until all the ingredients are incorporated.
Step 3 -Wrap the butter batter tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate until firm, about 1 hour.
Step 4 -Place 1 ounce of the butter batter into a warm mug or Irish coffee glass.
Step 5 -Add the whisky and the hot water.
Step 6 -Stir well and serve garnished with the cinnamon stick.
