A normal person following Islam should do his prayers after 15 minutes of adhan. It is a strict rule that is followed by the whole Muslim community. They are staunch believers of God and do not intend to do anything that might upset or angry Him. They are very thorough with their work. The 15 minutes period is exact and they do not delay that or start early. They are very punctual regarding religious matters.

Muslims have to pray five times a day and during the month of Ramadan, they have to follow a strict set of rules. An adult person cannot eat or drink anything from sunrise to sunset. They have to either wake up before sunrise and eat or have to wait after sunset. They also cannot drink a single drop of water. Furthermore, they cannot even swallow their saliva and have to spit it out.


After sunset, they pray and they eat. They eat a bunch of fruits and in that period of the year they produce a meat dish known as haleem which is meat and lentils paste. They have to wait for 15 minutes after adhan to reach the nearby mosque where they pray together. If someone is not able to go, then that person has to face the West and do his or her prayers. during the prayer, they are not allowed to talk.

Sometimes people can wake up late and miss the prayer time. In these circumstances, one should not just skip to the next prayer, they should finish the first one even though it is late and then starts the next one.

Why Does It Take Long To Pray After Adhan?

It does not take long after adhan to pray. The Muslims are just following the rules that are mentioned in their religious text, the Holy Quran. They are very punctual people and the rules written are a must. The prayers times are fixed and have been followed for centuries. There is no question of being late. Only if a person is late in starting his or her prayer, it is only at that point that the time changes.

The time for each prayer differs from the other. The first prayer is called Fajr, and it starts at twilight at approximately 3:33 AM and ends at sunrise. The second prayer is called Duhur. It starts at noon when the sun is a little less than 90 degrees overhead and ends when the sun is at 26 degrees. The third one is called Asr, and it starts at the end of Duhur’s window and ends when the Sun’s disk is over the horizon.


The fourth one is called Maghrib. It starts just after sunset and ends with the disappearance of the white twilight. The fifth and last prayer is called Isha. It starts after the end of Maghrib and ends before the appearance of the twilight. They follow the movement of the sun to known the prayer times and after finishing their prayer, they hug each other as a form of greetings.


Islam has the highest number of followers all over the world. For them, the sacred side is the West and they do their prayers facing the West. It is so because, according to their religious text, Mecca is their holy place and their Prophet’s birthplace. Every year’s hundreds of Muslims go to Mecca as a part of a pilgrimage. According to them, it purifies their soul. Id-Ul-Fitr nad Bakri-Id is two of their important festivals.

On a worldwide basis, many people believe that Muslims gave birth to terrorism and so forth has many negative remarks. But terrorism has no religion, whereas Muslims are one of the most lovable people in the world.
