Cialis and Viagra should not be taken together on the same day.

Cialis and Viagra are drugs taken for erectile dysfunction under prescription.

Erectile Dysfunction(ED) or impotence is a sexual dysfunction or inability of the penis to become or stay erect during sexual intercourse. Most men face problems having an erection or maintaining an erection in their lifetime which is normal but when it becomes a regular condition then it is a problem that has to be treated. It is curable depending upon the cause of ED.

The main symptoms of erectile dysfunction are not able to get an erection, not able to maintain an erection, and less sexual desires.

There are physical and psychological causes for erectile dysfunction.
Physical cause includes high blood pressure, heart diseases, high cholesterol, sleep disorders, low testosterone, surgeries or injuries that affected pelvic region, tobacco use which can cause heart disease leading to erectile dysfunction.
Psychological causes include depression, anxiety, and stress.

If not treated at the correct time it can create problems like unsatisfactory sex life, low self-esteem, stress, not able to reproduce.

Both Cialis and Viagra can help to have an erection or to maintain an erection under prescriptions. It is advised to take either one of them 30-60 minutes before sexual intercourse also not on a regular basis.

Both Cialis and Viagra work for the same reason so taking both together is not advised. If both are taken together it may lead to increase side effects. Taking both Cialis and Viagra not only increases side effects but also can be very dangerous.

Why Does it Take Long to Take Viagra After Consuming Cialis?

Phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) or PDE5 causes erectile dysfunction. Viagra and Cialis are both phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitors.

During sexual intercourse, penis nerves get stimulated causing an erection. During an erection, the corpora cavernosa tissues in the penis relax and get filled with blood. But when you have an erectile dysfunction nerves from the brain and penis aren’t able to communicate hence blood doesn’t flow leading to not getting an erection or not able to maintain an erection.

Both Cialis and Viagra block PDE5 which relaxes blood vessels making it easier for blood flow leading to an erection.
Both Cialis and Viagra work for the same reason that is to get an erection or maintaining one. Taking both on the same day increases the dosage of phosphodiesterase type5 inhibitor. Increasing any dosage without prescription can lead to severe side effects and is very dangerous.

Both can only make the process of erection work smoothly. They cannot cause arousal. Both Cialis and Viagra don’t work if you aren’t sexually aroused.

Another reason for not taking Cialis and Viagra together is their durability. Cialis lasts for 36hours after taking the pill whereas Viagra lasts only up to 4hours. So there is no particular extra effect as Cialis is still working.

Cialis is taken around 30minutes before sexual intercourse in a limited dosage of up to 2.5-5mg which doesn’t have many side effects whereas the lowest available dosage of Viagra is 25mg taken 30 minutes before sexual intercourse. Thus taking both together can lead to a risk of increased side effects.

Conclusion

Cialis and Viagra are both drugs so even though taken under prescription can have side effects on the body. Both taken together can increase the dosage level in the body which can lead to an increase in side effects. Some of the common side effects are feeling dizzy, runny nose, headache, rashes, back pain, limb pain, muscle pain, etc. special care should be given if these symptoms last after the effect of the pill wore off or maybe a day after that.

It is always advised to take both pills under prescription and not on the same day. If not getting an erection or not able to maintain one is regular, it is advised to consult a doctor rather than relying on pills.
