LouAnn’s Baked Potato Dip

The secret of LouAnn’s Baked Potato Dip, which she swears by, is that it doesn’t have potatoes in it. LouAnn claims that it’s the experience of the baked potato with the creamy, tangy sour cream, the sharp cheddar, the succulent crumbled bacon, and the zesty ranch seasoning, that counts. And after dipping into it with celery sticks and potato chips… well, we can’t disagree! LouAnn’s Baked Potato Dip is something special for watching the big game or hosting the backyard game!

Ingredients

  • 3 cups sour cream
  • 3 tablespoons ranch seasoning
  • kosher salt, to taste
  • 8 ounces cheddar cheese, grated
  • 4 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 pound bacon, cooked until crisp, cooled and crumbled
  • carrot sticks, optional, to taste, for serving
  • celery sticks, optional, to taste, for serving

Directions

Step 1 –In a large bowl, add the sour cream, the ranch seasoning, and the salt and stir until combined.

Step 2 –Add the cheddar cheese, the green onions, and the bacon and stir to combine.

Step 3 –Cover and refrigerate the dip until the flavors have melded together and the dip is chilled, about 2 hours.

Step 4 –Serve with the carrots and the celery.
