Ingredients
- 1 pound lean ground beef, 90% lean
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/4 cup reduced-sodium soy sauce
- 2 teaspoons sesame oil
- 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 2 2/3 cups brown rice, cooked, hot
- 3 green onions, thinly sliced
Directions
Step 1 –In a large skillet, cook the beef and garlic over medium heat until the beef is no longer pink, about 6-8 minutes. Break the beef into crumbles as it cooks.
Step 2 –In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, red pepper flakes, and pepper.
Step 3 –Stir the sauce into the beef and cook until heated through, for about 2-3 minutes.
Step 4 –Serve with rice and garnished with green onions.
