Mom’s Perfect Stuffed Dates

Mom’s Perfect Stuffed Dates are easy to whip up and combine simple ingredients into one fantastic Thanksgiving appetizer; sweet dates come together with tangy goat cheese and the crunch of pistachios. With just a touch of seasoning, Mom’s Perfect Stuffed Dates will have your friends and loved ones begging for the recipe. Whether or not you want to share is up to you!

  • 24 Medjool dates, slit lengthwise and pitted
  • 4 ounces goat cheese
  • 3 tablespoons pistachios, crushed
  • sea salt, to taste
  • ground black pepper, to taste
  • smoked paprika, to taste
  • honey, optional, to taste


Step 1 -Open the dates, making V-shaped bowls.

Step 2 -Fill each of the dates evenly with the goat cheese.

Step 3 -Evenly sprinkle the crushed pistachios on top of each of the goat cheese layers.

Step 4 -Top each with a light sprinkle of the salt, the pepper, and the paprika, being careful not to add too much as it can overpower the flavors of the dates.

Step 5 -Drizzle on a little of the honey.

Step 6 -Serve!
