Ingredients
- 1/4 cup salt
- 4 ounces lime juice, plus more, to taste
- 3 ounces tequila
- 2 ounces triple sec
- ice, to taste
- prosecco or cava sparkling wine, to taste
- lime wheels, to taste, dehydrated or fresh, for garnish
Directions
Step 1 –In a small shallow plate or bowl, add the salt.
Step 2 –In a small shallow bowl, add a small amount of the extra lime juice.
Step 3 –Dip the rims of two margarita-style glasses into the lime juice, then into the salt to coat.
Step 4 –In a cocktail shaker, add the remaining 4 ounces of the lime juice, the tequila, the triple sec, and the ice and shake until it is completely chilled, about 10-20 seconds.
Step 5 –Strain the margarita mixture into the prepared glasses and top with the prosecco.
Step 6 –Serve the drinks garnished with the lime wheels.
