Directions

Step 1 –In a medium bowl, add the mayonnaise, the ketchup, the mustard, the relish, and the hot sauce and whisk to combine. Set it aside.

Step 2 –Heat a griddle over medium-high heat.

Step 3 –In 4 loose portions, evenly divide the ground round beef and place the mounds directly onto the prepared griddle.

Step 4 –Evenly season the ground round beef mounds with the salt and the black pepper, and cook, about 2 minutes.

Step 5 –Add 1 of the tortillas on top of each of the beef portions, pressing down to flatten the beef into the shape and the size of the tortilla using a cast-iron pan or something else heavy that can withstand the heat, and cook until the tortilla is golden-brown and the meat is cooked through, about 2-3 minutes.

Step 6 –Flip each of the tortilla-patties over, top evenly with the American cheese slices, and cook until the cheese is melted.

Step 7 –When the cheese has melted and the tortilla has lightly browned, evenly top each of the tacos with the iceberg lettuce and the diced onions, then evenly drizzle with the reserved sauce mixture.

Step 8 –Transfer the tacos from the griddle to a plate, fold in half like a taco, and serve immediately.
