Bang-Bang Shrimp Tacos only take 35 minutes to make, so you can enjoy them whenever you need something explosively good!

Ingredients

For the sauce:

  • 3/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup chili sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sriracha sauce

For the shrimp:

  • 1/2 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 3/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups canola oil

For serving:

  • 3 flour tortillas
  • 1 cup iceberg lettuce, shredded
  • 1 cup tomatoes, diced
  • 2 tablespoons sour cream
  • scallions, to taste, chopped
  • lime wedges, to taste

Directions

Step 1 -In a medium bowl, combine the mayonnaise, the chili sauce, and the sriracha.

Step 2 -In a separate large bowl, add the shrimp.

Step 3 -Pour the buttermilk and the lemon juice over the shrimp and let sit for at least 30 minutes to marinate.

Step 4 -In a medium bowl, mix together the cornstarch and the flour.

Step 5 -In a large pan, heat 2 cups of the oil to 375 degrees F.

Step 6 -Remove the shrimp from the marinade.

Step 7 -Coat the shrimp in the cornstarch-flour mixture.

Step 8 -Fry the shrimp in the hot oil for about 4 minutes. Work in batches to keep the temperature of the oil consistent.

Step 9 -Carefully transfer the shrimp to paper towels to drain.

Step 10 -Once the shrimp have been fried and drained, toss them in the Bang-Bang sauce, coating thoroughly while they are still hot.

Step 11 -Evenly fill the tortillas with the lettuce, the Bang-Bang shrimp, the diced tomatoes, the sour cream, and the scallions.

Step 12 -Garnish with the lime wedges and serve.
