Upgraded Deviled Eggs

Deviled eggs might seem perfect already, but there is nothing in life that can’t be improved. The Upgraded Deviled Eggs take this beloved appetizer and find new ways to elevate its flavor. In addition to classic creamy mayo and tangy mustard, each bite of Upgraded Deviled Eggs features extra tang from sour cream, extra heartiness from breadcrumbs, and a little touch of sourness and heat from pimento-stuffed olives. Plus, nothing looks quite as impressive as these little gems winking at you from across the party. Make sure you save one for yourself because these will get snatched up before you blink!

Ingredients

  • 8 large eggs, hard-boiled
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup reduced-fat sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons soft breadcrumbs
  • 1 tablespoon prepared mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • white pepper, to taste
  • 4 pimiento-stuffed olives, sliced
  • paprika, optional, to taste

Directions

Step 1 –Slice the eggs in half lengthwise and remove the yolks.

Step 2 –Reserve 8 of the removed egg yolk halves for another use.

Step 3 –In a small bowl, mash the remaining yolks.

Step 4 –Stir the mayo, the sour cream, the breadcrumbs, the mustard, the salt, and the pepper into the egg yolks.

Step 5 –Stuff or pipe the egg whites with the egg yolk mixture.

Step 6 –Garnish the deviled eggs with the olives and the paprika.

Step 7 –Serve.
