Ingredients
- 4 cups all-purpose flour, plus more, to taste, for dusting the tube pan
- 3 cups sugar
- 2 cups butter, softened
- 3/4 cup milk
- 6 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Directions
Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F.
Step 2 –Grease a 10-inch tube pan and then, using the extra flour, lightly dust the greased pan.
Step 3 –Place the remaining 4 cups of the flour, the sugar, the butter, the milk, the eggs, and the vanilla, in that order, in a 4-quart bowl of a stand mixer.
Step 4 –Beat the mixture on low speed for 1 minute, stopping to scrape down the sides as needed.
Step 5 –Beat the mixture at medium speed for 2 minutes.
