Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground hamburger, lean
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon seasoning salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 8 saltine crackers, crushed

Optional for serving:

  • 6 hamburger buns
  • 6 slices cheese, of your choice
  • 6 leaves lettuce
  • 6 slices tomato
  • 6 slices onion
  • 8 slices bacon
  • mayonnaise, to taste
  • ketchup, to taste
  • mustard, to taste
  • mushrooms, to taste

Directions

Step 1 –In a medium bowl, use clean hands to mix the hamburger, garlic powder, onion salt, seasoning salt, Worcestershire sauce, egg, and crushed crackers together well.

Step 2 –Shape the meat mixture into 6 burger patties of equal size. Make sure you put a divot about the size of your thumb in the center of each patty; this will help prevent the meat from puffing up too much on the grill.

Step 3 –Grill or broil to desired doneness, reading 135 degrees F for medium-rare, about 4 minutes per side.

Step 4 –Add your favorite toppings and serve on a bun.
