Betty’s Chicken Crouton Casserole

Betty had an idea to make croutons, everyone’s favorite part of a salad, the star of the show. That idea blossomed into Betty’s Chicken Crouton Casserole, a dish positively designed to make everyone happy. The croutons, coated in a creamy, savory sauce, still have that gratifying crunch that makes them irresistible. Paired with shredded chicken, Betty’s Chicken Crouton Casserole is rich, hearty, and deeply satisfying. You can serve this with a salad if you want some extra croutons!

Ingredients

  • 1 (14.5-ounce) can chicken broth
  • 1 (10.75-ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup, undiluted
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 (14-ounce) package seasoned stuffing croutons
  • 4 cups chicken, shredded and cooked
  • fresh parsley, optional, minced

Directions

Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.

Step 2 –Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

Step 3 –In a large bowl, combine the broth, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, and butter.

Step 4 –Stir in the croutons and chicken.

Step 5 –Pour the chicken mixture into the prepared baking dish.

Step 6 –Bake until heated through, about 20-25 minutes. Serve garnished with parsley.
