  • 8 ounces egg noodles
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil, divided
  • 12 ounces kielbasa or sausage, sliced
  • 1/4 cup salted butter
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 1/2 head cabbage, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2/3 cup frozen peas
  • salt, to taste
  • ground black pepper, to taste

Directions

Step 1 –Cook the egg noodles to al dente, according to the package directions.

Step 2 –Drain the noodles and set them aside.

Step 3 –In a large saucepan, heat 1 tablespoon of the olive oil over medium-high heat.

Step 4 –Add the sausage and cook until lightly browned, about 3-4 minutes.

Step 5 –Add the remaining olive oil, the butter, and the onion and cook until the onion is softened, about 5 minutes.

Step 6 –Add the cabbage and the garlic and cook until the cabbage is tender and the sausage is cooked through, about 10-15 minutes.

Step 7 –Stir in the peas, the noodles, the salt, and the pepper and cook until heated through, about 2-3 minutes.

Step 8 –Serve.
