Ingredients

  • 1 (12-ounce) package Hawaiian sweet rolls
  • 1/2 cup horseradish sauce
  • 3/4 pound sliced deli ham
  • 6 slices Swiss cheese, halved
  • 1/2 cup butter, cubed
  • 2 tablespoons onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon spicy brown mustard
  • 2 teaspoons poppy seeds
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

Directions

Step 1 –Grease a 9×9-inch baking pan.

Step 2 –Cut the rolls in half horizontally without separating the rolls.

Step 3 –Arrange the bottom halves of the rolls in the prepared baking pan.

Step 4 –Spread the cut-side of the bottom rolls with the horseradish sauce and then layer with the ham and the cheese, and top with the top rolls.

Step 5 –In a small skillet, heat the butter over medium-high heat.

Step 6 –Add the onion to the butter and cook, while stirring, until it is tender, about 1-2 minutes.

Step 7 –Stir the brown sugar, the spicy brown mustard, the poppy seeds, the Worcestershire sauce, and the garlic powder into the onion mixture.

Step 8 –Pour the onion mixture over the rolls and refrigerate, covered, at least 4 hours or up to overnight.

Step 9 –Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 10 –Remove the rolls from the refrigerator 30 minutes before baking.

Step 11 –Bake the sliders, covered, about 25 minutes.

Step 12 –Carefully uncover the pan and bake until they are golden-brown, about 5-10 minutes.

Step 13 –Serve.
