Ingredients

  • 6 cups green cabbage, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup sweet onion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup carrot, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon barbeque seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce
  • green onions, to taste, sliced, for garnish

Directions

Step 1 –In a medium-size mixing bowl, mix together the cabbage, the onion, and the carrot.

Step 2 –In a separate bowl, whisk together the ketchup, the apple cider vinegar, the sugar, the pepper flakes, the salt, the barbeque seasoning, and the hot sauce.

Step 3 –Pour the dressing over the slaw and mix well.

Step 4 –Place the slaw into an airtight container and seal.

Step 5 –Chill for at least 8 hours and up to overnight.

Step 6 –Garnish with the green onions and serve.
