Ingredients

  • 1 pound pork breakfast sausage, casings removed
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 cups whole milk

Step 3 –Add the butter and stir well until melted.

Step 4 –Sprinkle the sausage with the flour, stirring and cooking until the flour absorbs the fat and becomes golden brown, about 4-5 minutes.

Step 5 –Add the milk while stirring.

Step 6 –Reduce the heat to medium.

Step 7 –Continue to cook and stir until the gravy thickens, about 5-10 minutes.

Step 8 –Serve hot.
