Ingredients

For the turnovers:

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 cups apples, peeled, cored, and finely diced
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar

Step 4 –Add the apples to the skillet and cook, stirring occasionally, for about 3 minutes.

Step 6 –Cook and stir until the apples are tender and the sauce is thickened, about 3 minutes.

Step 7 –Remove the skillet from the heat.

Step 15 –Transfer the turnovers to the prepared baking sheet.

Step 16 –Repeat the cutting, filling, and folding process with the remaining pastry sheet and apple filling mixture.
