Ingredients

  • 1 (13.8 ounce) can refrigerated crescent dough or pizza dough
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce or marinara sauce, plus more as needed and for dipping
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • pepperoni, optional, to taste
  • bell peppers, optional, to taste
  • olives, optional, to taste
  • onions, optional, to taste
  • mushrooms, optional, to taste
  • ranch dressing, optional, for dipping

Directions

Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2 –Line a large baking sheet with foil and spray it lightly with cooking spray.

Step 3 –Lightly flour a large wooden cutting board.

Step 4 –Roll out the dough onto the floured surface, pressing the seams together as you go.

Step 5 –Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the dough, to the edges.

Step 6 –Top the sauce with the shredded mozzarella and your preferred pizza toppings.

Step 7 –Roll the pizza widthwise (the longest side) and seal the edges.

Step 8 –Slice the roll into 1-inch pieces.

Step 9 –Place the pinwheels on the prepared cookie sheet about 2 inches apart.

Step 10 –Bake until the tops are golden brown, about 9-11 minutes.

Step 11 –Allow to cool for a couple of minutes, then serve with your preferred dipping sauces.
