Ingredients
- 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 cup part-skim mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 3/4 cup parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 (8-ounce) can pizza sauce
- 2 tablespoons green pepper, chopped
- 2 tablespoons green onion, thinly sliced
- breadsticks, to taste, for serving
- tortilla chips, to taste, for serving
Directions
Step 1 –In a medium bowl, add the cream cheese and the Italian seasoning and beat with an electric hand mixer until combined.
Step 2 –Transfer the cream cheese mixture to the bottom of an ungreased and microwave-safe 9-inch pie plate.
Step 3 –In a medium bowl, add the mozzarella cheese and the parmesan cheese and stir to combine.
Step 4 –Evenly sprinkle 1/2 of the cheese mixture over the cream cheese mixture.
Step 5 –Add the pizza sauce evenly across the top of the cheese mixture, then evenly layer with the remaining cheese mixture, the green peppers, and the green onions.
Step 6 –Transfer the dip mixture to the microwave, and heat, rotating a half-turn several times, on high heat until the cheese is almost melted, about 2-3 minutes.
Step 7 –Transfer the dip to a wire rack and let stand, about 1-2 minutes.
Step 8 –Serve with the breadsticks and the tortilla chips.
