Ingredients

  • 3 pounds ground beef
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 1 (24-ounce) jar pasta sauce
  • 2 (4.5-ounce) jars sliced mushrooms, drained
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • pepper, to taste
  • 1 (16-ounce) package wide egg noodles, cooked and drained
  • 2 (3.5-ounce) packages sliced pepperoni
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 2 cups part-skim mozzarella cheese, shredded

Directions

Step 1 –In a Dutch oven, brown the beef and the onion over medium heat until the meat is no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes.

Step 2 –Crumble the beef and drain the fat from the pot.

Step 3 –Add the spaghetti sauce, the mushrooms, the salt, the garlic powder, the oregano, and the pepper and heat through.

Step 4 –Spoon 1/2 of the mixture into a 5-quart slow cooker.

Step 5 –Layer on 1/2 of the noodles, 1/2 of the pepperoni slices, 1/2 of the cheddar cheese, and 1/2 of the mozzarella cheese.

Step 6 –Repeat the layers.

Step 7 –Cover and cook on low until the cheese is melted, about 4-5 hours.

Step 8 –Serve.
