Put on your dancing shoes and grab a fork, cause this layer upon layer of Tex-Mex-seasoned ground beef, creamy refried beans, and melty cheese on top of buttery crescent rolls is cordially inviting you to the most celebratory dinner ever! Sprinkled with some crispy peppers, fresh lettuce, and juicy tomatoes, this Fiesta Burrito Bake will have everyone talking! Shimmy on over, it’s time to eat!
Ingredients
For the burrito bake:
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 (16-ounce) can refried beans
- 1/4 cup onion, chopped
- 1 envelope taco seasoning
- 1 (8-ounce) tube refrigerated crescent rolls
- 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
- 2 cups part-skim mozzarella cheese, shredded
Optional toppings:
- green pepper, to taste, chopped
- red pepper, to taste, chopped
- lettuce, to taste, shredded
- tomatoes, to taste, chopped
Directions
Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Step 2 –Grease a 13×9-inch baking dish.
Step 3 –Heat a large skillet over medium heat.
Step 4 –Add the beef into the skillet and cook, while crumbling, until it is no longer pink. Drain the excess grease.
Step 5 –Add the refried beans, the onion, and the taco seasoning to the beef and stir to combine.
Step 6 –Unroll the crescent roll dough and press it onto the bottom and up the sides of the prepared baking dish; seal the seams and the perforations.
Step 7 –Evenly spread the beef mixture over the dough and sprinkle with the cheddar cheese and the mozzarella cheese.
Step 8 –Bake the burrito bake, uncovered, until the cheese is melted and golden-brown, about 30 minutes.
Step 9 –Sprinkle the green pepper, red pepper, the lettuce, and the tomatoes over the top of the burrito bake.
Step 10 –Serve.
