Heavenly Brownies deserve their own halos for how delicious they are! The fudgy, chewy texture only adds to the chocolatey joy contained in each square.   • 2 sticks of unsalted butter
  • 8 ounces bittersweet or semisweet chocolate, roughly chopped
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup dark brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour, spooned into a measuring cup and leveled off with a knife


Step 1 –Place an oven rack in the middle position. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2 –Line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper, making sure the parchment paper slightly overhangs the sides of the pan. Grease the parchment paper with butter or nonstick cooking spray.

Step 3 –Place the butter in a medium, microwave-safe bowl and melt in the microwave until bubbling.

Step 4 –Add the chocolate and whisk until the chocolate is completely melted. If the butter is not hot enough to melt the chocolate, heat the mixture in the microwave in 20-second increments until it reaches the right temperature.

Step 5 –Whisk the eggs in a large bowl. Add the salt, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla, whisking until smooth and no lumps remain.

Step 6 –Slowly whisk in the chocolate-butter mixture. Add the flour and whisk until the batter is uniform.

Step 7 –Pour the batter into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly.

Step 8 –Bake until the top forms a shiny crust and the batter is moderately firm, for about 45 minutes.

Step 9 –Cool completely in the pan on a rack.

Step 10 –Lift the brownies out of the pan using the parchment overhang.

Step 11 –Transfer the brownies to a cutting board. Trim away the edges and cut the brownies into 2-inch squares.

Step 12 –Serve!
