Ingredients
- 1 stick butter
- 3 chicken breasts, boneless and skinless, boiled, shredded
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon dried sage
- salt, to taste
- 1-2 cups frozen peas and carrots mix, optional, thawed
- 2 cups milk
- 2 cups pre-made baking mix, such as Bisquick™
- 2 cups chicken stock
- 3 teaspoons chicken granules
- 1 (10.5-ounce) can cream of chicken soup or herbed cream of chicken soup
Directions
Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Step 2 –In a 9×13-inch baking dish, melt the butter.
Step 3 –Spread the shredded chicken over the butter.
Step 4 –Sprinkle the black pepper, the sage, and the salt over the chicken.
Step 5 –Layer the peas and carrots over the seasoned chicken.
Step 6 –In a small bowl, combine the milk and the baking mix.
Step 7 –Slowly pour the baking mix mixture over the vegetable layer.
Step 8 –In a medium bowl, whisk together the chicken stock, the chicken granules, and the cream of chicken soup.
Step 9 –Slowly pour the soup mixture over the baking mix layer.
Step 10 –Bake until the top is golden-brown, about 50-60 minutes.
