It’s Tradition Brussels

Why yes, it is tradition to have It’s Tradition Brussels on the holiday table. But sometimes traditions can be fun, exciting, and lively rather than stuffy or bitter. Case in point, well, It’s Tradition Brussels! Garden fresh Brussels sprouts, beautifully seasoned, sprinkled with bacon, drizzled with balsamic…. mmm, this is one tasty tradition, and one you’ll be excited to arrive year after year! Or month after month! Or day by day! They really are that crispy and delicious!

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds Brussels sprouts, trimmed and cut in half through the core
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt, plus more to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, plus more to taste
  • 6 slices thick-cut bacon, chopped
  • balsamic glaze, optional, for drizzling

Directions

Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F.

Step 2 –Place the Brussels sprouts in a large bowl and toss them with the olive oil, the garlic powder, the honey, the salt, and the pepper until well coated

Step 3 –Spread the sprouts mixture onto a baking sheet in a single layer.

Step 4 –Sprinkle the bacon pieces over the sprouts.

Step 5 –Roast until the sprouts are tender and nicely browned and the bacon is cooked and crispy, about 25-30 minutes. Toss them halfway through cooking.

Step 6 –Transfer the baking sheet from the oven and toss the sprouts and bacon again.

Step 7 –Taste for seasoning and drizzle with the balsamic glaze.

Step 8 –Serve.
