Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
  • 1 (15-ounce) can pizza sauce
  • 1 (4-ounce) can sliced mushrooms, drained
  • 1/4 cup ripe olives, sliced and pitted
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 (10-ounce) can refrigerated biscuit dough

Directions

Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.

Step 2 –Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Step 3 –Add the beef to the skillet and cook, while crumbling, until it is browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain the excess grease from the skillet.

Step 4 –Add the pizza sauce, the mushrooms, and the olives to the beef and cook, while stirring, until heated through, about 2 minutes.

Step 5 –Transfer the beef mixture to a rectangular 2-quart baking dish, then sprinkle with the mozzarella cheese.

Step 6 –Arrange the biscuits on top of the cheese.

Step 7 –Bake the casserole until the biscuits are golden, about 15-17 minutes. Switch the oven to broil to allow the biscuits to finish baking if they don’t brown enough during the allotted baking time.

Step 8 –Serve
