Sautéed Green Beans

Need to add a little somethin’-somethin’ to your dinnertime? These Sautéed Green Beans are sure to do the trick! Simple and so quick, these freshly picked veggies come tender and seasoned just the way you like them, with a nice sprinkle of rich parmesan, crunchy pine nuts, spicy red pepper flakes, and herby parsley. That’s quite somethin’ if you ask us! Sautéed Green Beans are really somethin’ to talk about! See for yourself!

Ingredients

For the green beans:

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 12 ounces green beans, rinsed and dried, ends trimmed
  • 2 cloves garlic, pressed
  • salt, to taste
  • pepper, to taste

Optional toppings:

  • parmesan cheese, to taste, shredded
  • toasted pine nuts, to taste
  • crushed red pepper flakes, to taste
  • parsley, to taste, chopped

Directions

Step 1 –In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat the olive oil.

Step 2 –Add the green beans to the oil and cook, stirring frequently, until they begin to soften and brown slightly on the outside, about 6-7 minutes for thin green beans and about 8-9 minutes for thick green beans.

Step 3 –Add the garlic, the salt, and the pepper to the green beans and cook for 2 minutes.

Step 4 –Transfer the green beans from the heat.

Step 5 –Serve the green beans with your favorite optional toppings.
