Seasoned Bar Nuts

At your favorite watering hole, there are most likely bowls filled with nuts. And there’s something about these nuts that makes them so incredibly, undeniably snackable. What is it? Well, if they’re Seasoned Bar Nuts, then the answer is butter: rich butter with fragrant, zesty seasonings, toasted to a rich golden-brown to make them extra nutty and crunchy. Why not skip the trip to the tavern and make up some Seasoned Bar Nuts for yourself instead; they’re so easy and speedy to make, you’ll wonder why you haven’t before!

Ingredients

  • 3 cups mixed nuts
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne
  • 1/4 teaspoon allspice
  • 1/2 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt

Directions

Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2 –Put the nuts in a mixing bowl.

Step 3 –Melt the butter into a small saucepan over medium heat.

Step 4 –Add the thyme, the cumin, the mustard, the cayenne, the allspice, and the pepper to the melted butter and allow it to simmer for 1 minute.

Step 5 –Pour the butter mixture and the salt over the nuts and toss to coat.

Step 6 –Place the nuts onto a baking sheet in a single layer.

Step 7 –Bake the nuts until golden-brown, about 20 minutes.

Step 8 –Allow the nuts to cool and serve.
